Autumn in La Creuse

One of the delightful things about living in this part of France is you get a proper Autumn. The weather over the last few weeks has been delightful. Ok, there have been the odd overcast and cold day, but if we didn't have them we wouldn't appreciate the lovely sunny days that surround them would we?

The trees have been clinging on to the greenness of summer, but in the last week or so they have really burst into colour. There is nothing so wonderful than to go for a stroll surrounded by trees dripping with the golds and reds of Autumn, with the sun beating down, breathing the fresh crisp air. Well there may be some other things that are just as wonderful - but it is pretty damn good.

I will be returning to the story of how we came to own the Humpbuckle Hylton tomorrow, but in the meantime I thought you would like to see some of the pictures I took today...
